Sharivka Manor, Heritage château in Sharivka, Ukraine
Sharivka Manor is a château in the town of Sharivka in Ukraine, built in the style of the 19th century with large rooms and elaborate facades. The interiors display carved wooden elements, painted ceilings, and a large blue hall that ranks among the main attractions of the complex.
The estate was created in the second half of the 19th century when Leopold Koenig acquired the land and commissioned the construction. The complex reflects the lifestyle and architectural preferences of the noble class in Ukraine at that time.
The name Sharivka comes from an old Ukrainian term for rounded hills in the region. The estate now serves as a venue for exhibitions and cultural events, where visitors walk through the halls and imagine how the rooms were once used.
The grounds lie southeast of the town of Bohodukhiv in Kharkiv Oblast and can be reached via local roads from the town center. Most rooms are on ground level, though some areas may have steps or narrow passages.
An old well with a pavilion roof still stands in the garden and once supplied water to the residents and staff. Several outbuildings around the main house housed forestry workers and storage rooms for timber and tools.
