Palace of Rozumovskyi

The Palace of Rozumovskyi is an 18th-century manor house in Baturyn featuring grand halls and ornate decorations throughout its rooms. The building complex spreads across multiple sections with classical architectural details that reflect the status of the former hetman.

The residence was built for Kirill Rozumovskyi, the last hetman of Left-bank Ukraine, representing the final phase of Cossack leadership in this territory. Its construction occurred during a transformative period for Ukrainian history and governance.

The palace reflects how Ukrainian nobility lived during the Cossack era and served as a center of power and influence. Today, visitors can see how the ruling families organized their households and conducted daily life within these walls.

The museum is accessible to visitors and offers guided tours for groups of various sizes. Wear comfortable shoes as you will walk through multiple rooms and some areas may have uneven flooring.

The palace contains hidden underground passages that connected different sections of the complex and were used during periods of political instability. These secret routes reveal how carefully the former rulers had to move around their own estate.
