Mirax-Plaza Ukraine, High-rise building in Podilskyi district, Kyiv, Ukraine
Mirax Plaza is a large building complex in Kyiv comprising seven structures, with the main tower reaching 28 floors and standing 110 meters tall. The five-story shopping section at ground level houses retail spaces, dining options, and recreational amenities, complemented by six levels of underground parking.
The project began in 2006 as a twin-tower design by Mirax Group, but economic difficulties prompted design changes and multiple ownership shifts. These changes shaped how the site evolved over time.
The complex displays contemporary architectural language through its curved forms and expansive glass facade that shapes Kyiv's urban landscape. Visitors immediately notice the bright, transparent surfaces that make the structure visually distinctive.
The site is located in the Podilskyi district and is accessible across multiple levels, with shops at ground level and parking spaces below. Visitors should know that the area is large and navigation requires some time.
The building uses geothermal energy systems for temperature control, an eco-friendly solution uncommonly found in this context. Eight lift shafts run throughout the structure, including dedicated routes for VIP access and emergency use.
