Flowers of Ukraine

Flowers of Ukraine is a five-story modern building in central Kyiv featuring a striking northern facade with three cascading glass forms that step across multiple floors. Inside, an atrium is surrounded by open gallery levels that visitors can access and explore.

Architect Mykola Levchuk designed this structure between 1983 and 1985, earning recognition as Building of the Year from the Ukrainian Union of Architects. The project emerged during a period when Ukrainian architecture was introducing modern forms and materials to the urban landscape.

The building served as Kyiv's main flower retail hub for decades, with dedicated spaces for showcasing floral designs and teaching arranging techniques. Its role as a cultural meeting place for florists and enthusiasts shaped how the city connected with horticultural arts.
