Raiske

Raiske is a small settlement in eastern Ukraine within the Druzhkivka urban community. The village sits on gently elevated terrain and displays the characteristic mix of agricultural land and industrial traces found throughout this region.

The settlement gained its urban-type status in 1925, a designation it retained through the Soviet era and beyond. This Soviet-era administrative category was eliminated in 2024 during Ukraine's administrative reform.

The population of 757 residents maintains connections to both agricultural traditions and industrial developments that characterize settlements in the Donetsk Oblast.

The location enjoys a temperate climate and is best visited during the warmer months. Access is by local roads connecting the Druzhkivka community, and visitors should expect basic conditions typical of rural settlements.

The settlement underwent administrative changes in 2020 when the Druzhkivka Municipality merged into Kramatorsk Raion during Ukraine's territorial reform.
