Starokinnyi Market is an open-air marketplace in the Moldavanka district where vendors display merchandise on the ground, fences, walls, and trees without formal stalls. The space covers multiple blocks and creates a scattered, unstructured shopping experience filled with household items, clothing, and rare collectibles.

The market began in 1832 as a livestock bazaar for trading horses and cattle. When animal trading moved to other locations, the site transformed into a general marketplace selling diverse goods.

Collectors come here to search through Soviet cameras, medals, coins, vintage brooches, and antique books from various countries. The place draws people who enjoy discovering objects that tell stories from different periods and cultures.

The market is located on Raskydalivska Street and operates daily, though hours are limited. Early mornings offer the best browsing experience with the widest selection and fewer crowds to navigate.

The marketplace was recognized by major international publications as one of the world's best flea markets, particularly for its extensive collection of items from the Russian Imperial period. Many visitors are surprised by the volume of pieces here that preserve histories from the tsarist era and Soviet times.
