Church of the Holy Trinity, Lviv

The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Baroque building in central Lviv that combines French classical elements on its exterior with ornate decoration inside. The interior displays stained-glass windows, sculptures, and paintings created by regional artists during the 1800s.

The structure was built between 1703 and 1731 for the Trinitarian Order as a Roman Catholic place of worship. It was damaged during 1848 fighting and rebuilt, later used as a library, then restored to religious purposes after Soviet rule ended.

The church has served the Greek Catholic community since 1906 and remains a place where visitors can witness local religious traditions and ceremonies. Its role connects the building to the spiritual practices that shape the city's religious life today.
