Immaculate Conception church in Horodenka

The Immaculate Conception church is a brick building in Horodenka, Ukraine, featuring distinctive Rococo elements on its facade. A bell tower was added later in the 1800s and shapes the structure's outer appearance.

Construction of the brick building began in 1743 and was carried out by an Italian architect under the patronage of a wealthy commissioner. The project was part of church construction activities taking place in the region during that period.

The church contains religious artworks created by sculptor Ivan Pinzel that shape its interior spaces. These works reflect the artistic traditions that were cultivated in this region.

The church is located in the city center and can be easily reached on foot. Its status as a protected heritage site means the location is maintained and preserved.

Some of the original sculptures were removed from the building and are now displayed in a museum in a larger city. A statue of Mary still stands at the entrance, however, testifying to the church's artistic decoration.
