Wedding Palace in Cherkasy

The Wedding Palace in Cherkasy is a brick structure with neo-Renaissance features located at 3 Nebesnoi Sotni Street, distinguished by its yellow exterior and decorative evening lighting. The original estate included a winter garden, fountain, and residential quarters for staff members.

The building was erected in 1892 by engineer Afanasiy Scherbyna, a City Duma member, as a private residence. Between 1907 and 1912, it housed county administrative offices before later serving other institutional purposes.

The palace grounds include a monument to Ukrainian poet Vasily Symonenko, installed in 2010, standing over two meters tall in the adjacent park.

The building now operates as the civil registry office where local residents can register marriages and other official documents. Since it remains an active government facility, visiting may depend on official opening hours and special events.
