Wedding Palace in Cherkasy, Cultural heritage building in Cherkasy, Ukraine
The brick building features neo-Renaissance architectural elements with yellow exterior walls and decorative night lighting at 3 Nebesnoi Sotni Street in Cherkasy.
Engineer Afanasiy Scherbyna, a member of the City Duma, constructed this mansion in 1892 with a winter garden, fountain, forged fence, and servant quarters.
The palace grounds include a monument to Ukrainian poet Vasily Symonenko, installed in 2010, standing over two meters tall in the adjacent park.
The structure operates as the city civil registry office, hosting wedding ceremonies and maintaining official records for the residents of Cherkasy.
Between 1907 and 1912, the building served as county rural governance offices before transforming through various roles including Party headquarters and Palace of Pioneers.
