Kyiv Palace for Children and Youth, Palace of culture in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The Kyiv Palace for Children and Youth spans over 12,000 square meters with specialized classrooms, auditoriums, and artistic spaces for educational activities.
The institution moved into its current building in 1965, designed by architects Abraham Miletsky and Eduard Bilsky on the former site of St. Nicholas Military Cathedral.
The palace interior contains numerous mosaics and sculptures created by Ukrainian artists, reflecting the artistic heritage of the mid-20th century Soviet period.
The facility provides free access to educational programs in subjects including biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, computer sciences, mathematics, dance, and music.
A 50-meter titanium alloy flagpole stands in front of the main building, while an astronomical observatory dome rises from the roof overlooking the park.
