Lysychansk Local History Museum

The museum exhibits collections of regional artifacts, industrial tools, traditional crafts, and natural specimens within a two-story building near central Lysychansk.

Founded in 1964, the museum documents the development of coal mining in the Donets Basin, which began in Lysychansk with the first mine opening in 1795.

The museum presents exhibits about regional traditions, folk arts, and daily life patterns of different social groups throughout the past centuries in Luhansk Oblast.

Located on the right bank of the Donets River, visitors can access guided tours in Ukrainian language and examine historical photographs of the industrial development.

The collection includes geological specimens and mining equipment that demonstrate the evolution of coal extraction methods in the first mining settlement of Donbas.
