Sataniv Synagogue

Sataniv Synagogue is a 16th-century house of worship located in the town of Sataniv in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine. The building features thick walls measuring two meters, a barrel-vaulted roof, and a central prayer hall with twelve windows.

The building was constructed in 1532 and later served as a storage facility during the Soviet period. After decades of alternative use, restoration efforts started in 2012 to return the structure to its original religious purpose.

The main prayer hall reflects traditional Jewish worship with its division for men and women and the Torah ark facing east. These details show how the space was designed for the religious life of the community that gathered here for centuries.

The entrance features a heraldic composition framed in plaster, an uncommon decorative element for a synagogue. The upper wall zone is structured by blind round arches supported by pilasters, a detail many visitors overlook.
