Tereshchenko Palace

Tereshchenko Palace is a Gothic Revival building with pointed arches, tall towers, and detailed stonework across its brick exterior. The structure displays the typical features of this European style with its characteristic vertical lines and ornamental details.

The building was originally constructed by Polish officer Adolf Grokholsky and later passed to Nicholas Tereshchenko who transformed the area economically. Under Tereshchenko ownership, a sugar factory was established near the site, bringing industrial development to the region.

The palace embodies the tastes of the wealthy Tereshchenko family in the 1800s and shows how Ukrainian noble families brought European architectural styles to their homeland. The building reflects the wealth and social standing that came from the sugar industry in the region.

The building is in a dilapidated condition and requires extensive restoration work due to structural damage. Visitors should be aware that access may be limited and safety concerns should be kept in mind when exploring the grounds.

A cast-iron fountain still stands on the palace grounds, serving as a reminder of the elegance and wealth the place once held. This decorative structure offers a glimpse into the refined garden design that the family once valued.
