Church of Saint Clare

The Church of Saint Clare in Gorodkivka is built from red brick with three bells and colored glass windows set along its exterior walls. Inside, wall paintings and a central crystal chandelier contribute to the decorative scheme.

Built between 1910 and 1913, this structure replaced a stone chapel dating from 1818 after the Polish writer Eustachy Antoni Iwanowski promoted the project. Following Soviet-era use as a community center and agricultural building, it resumed religious worship in 1989.

The structure combines neo-Gothic design elements with early twentieth-century construction methods, featuring wall paintings and a central crystal chandelier.

The building sits roughly 15 kilometers from Andrushivka district center and can be reached by traveling through the settlements of Galchin and Nehvorosch. School Street provides the main local reference point for finding the church.

During the Soviet period, the building served as a village club and later as an agricultural facility before returning to religious service in 1989.
