Landscape Reserve Chervona Balka Pivnichna

Landscape Reserve Chervona Balka Pivnichna is a protected nature area south of Kryvyi Rih featuring valleys, slopes, and steppe vegetation typical of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Multiple walking paths lead through the site, allowing visitors to explore the landscape on foot.

The Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR protected this area in 1983 to safeguard the local steppes and their plant life. This official designation reflected growing concern about preserving natural habitats within the industrial Dnipropetrovsk region.

Schools and universities use the reserve as an outdoor classroom where students can observe steppe plants and natural ecosystems firsthand. The place holds meaning for locals as a refuge for native species in an industrial region.
