Cheremosh National Nature Park, National nature park in Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine.
Cheremosh National Nature Park is a protected area in the mountainous landscape of Chernivtsi Oblast with dense spruce forests, river systems, and elevations ranging from 947 to 1574 meters. The terrain features wild alpine grounds and natural water sources throughout.
The protected area was formed in 2009 through the merger of three existing nature reserves in the northeastern Carpathian section. This consolidation created a connected protection zone.
The area holds meaning for the Hutsul people, who maintain their traditional mountain way of life in the surrounding communities. Visitors can observe these local practices in villages at the park's edge.
The area offers roughly 166 kilometers of marked paths for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife observation at various difficulty levels. Visitors should bring proper gear and weather protection, as the mountains can shift conditions quickly.
The park contains rare plant species such as Swiss pine trees over 120 years old and displays in summer the Gladiolus Valley phenomenon near Sarata village. These lilies bloom in large quantities and create an eye-catching flower display.
