Oleshky Sands National Nature Park

The park spans 8,020 hectares of terrain divided between sandy dunes in Radensk zone and pine forests with meadows in Burkut zone.

The sand formations emerged during the last Ice Age when water streams transported sand deposits from Polissia region to the Black Sea area.

The nomadic Nogai Hordes, specifically the Djambuilut Horde, inhabited this territory before the Russian annexation of the Crimean Khanate.

Access requires official permission from park administration due to proximity to military facilities, with entry points through the village of Radensk.

Summer temperatures in the sand reach 70 degrees Celsius, creating specific conditions for 988 animal species and 626 plant species.
