Посёлок Таирова, Residential district in Kyivskyi Raion, Odesa, Ukraine
Tairova settlement extends between Inglezi Street and Arkhitektorska Street, organized into five microdistricts filled with mid-rise and high-rise residential buildings. The area features modern infrastructure including schools, kindergartens, and shopping centers connected by Akademika Hlushko Avenue.
During the 1950s and 1960s, the local government allocated land for individual construction, laying the groundwork for the neighborhood's development. This phase evolved into a planned residential complex with organized microdistricts.
The neighborhood takes its name from Vasyl Tairov, a researcher who founded the Soviet school of viticulture and established Ukraine's first institute dedicated to wine research. This naming reflects the area's connection to agricultural science and local heritage.
The neighborhood benefits from good public transportation links and is walkable, with wide pathways connecting residential blocks. Shops, restaurants, and public services are distributed conveniently within walking distance throughout the area.
The neighborhood contains one of Odesa's largest courtyards, stretching between two nine-story buildings and spanning over 16 hectares. This exceptionally spacious courtyard also houses a football field and accommodates two schools within its grounds.
