Saint Cyril's Monastery, Medieval monastery in Dorohozhychi district, Kyiv, Ukraine
The monastery consists of a stone church with three naves, six pillars, and a central dome, surrounded by fortified walls and a corner tower.
Prince Vsevolod Olhovych established Saint Cyril's Monastery in 1140, which served as a burial site for the Olhovych dynasty until the 13th century.
The church interior features extensive 12th-century frescoes depicting biblical scenes and saints, complemented by murals painted by Mikhail Vrubel in the 1880s.
The monastery operates as part of the National Sanctuary 'Sophia of Kyiv' and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural elements and religious artwork.
The building transformed from a monastery to a hospital in 1786, while maintaining its religious function through Saint Cyril's Church continuous operation.
