Korsun Park, Protected landscape park in Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine.
Korsun Park is a protected landscape reserve along the Ros River with forested areas, open meadows, and diverse plant species. The grounds contain historical structures including a greenhouse and various natural sections for exploration.
The site was originally designed in the late 1700s as a French garden for a Polish prince by a French artist. Over time it evolved into a nature reserve with ongoing botanical and landscape features.
The park drew artists and inspired their work, particularly Taras Shevchenko who created pieces here. Visitors can still walk through the landscape that captivated creative minds in the past.
The park is accessible via several marked trails that lead through different areas, allowing visitors to explore the river, forests, and historic points at their own pace. Wear comfortable shoes and allow enough time to experience the various landscape types.
Some old pine and poplar trees planted in 1826 along the Ros banks still stand in the park and form a living link to the historical garden design. These trees offer visitors a direct connection to the site's early restoration work.
