Eupatorian dendropark, arboretum in the Crimea
The Eupatorian dendropark is a protected area in Yevpatoriia that holds a diverse collection of tree species spread across roughly three hectares. The site features maintained pathways, seating areas, and informational markers that explain different types of trees and their characteristics.
The park was established in earlier years as a deliberate effort to gather and preserve different tree species while enriching the local landscape. Over time it gained protected status and is now recognized as one of Ukraine's designated protected areas.
The park takes its name from the city of Yevpatoriia and serves as a gathering place where locals experience nature within urban life. Visitors witness how the community values and maintains green spaces as part of daily living and connection to the natural world.
The park is located on Frunze Street and easy to find thanks to open gates and entrance signage. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes for walking and choose cooler times of day to visit, especially during warmer months when shade from mature trees provides relief from heat.
Some of the oldest trees in the park have stood for many years and carry stories of the past within their growth rings. These aged specimens stand out to visitors as living witnesses to how long this natural space has been cared for and protected.
