Jewish cemetery in Hlukhiv

This Jewish burial ground in Hlukhiv holds over 600 tombstones with Hebrew inscriptions spanning from 1824 to the present day. The site shows a layered history of graves that were added over nearly two centuries of continuous use.

This burial ground began receiving burials from 1824 onward, evolving as the cemetery for the local Jewish community. A mass grave within the cemetery holds the remains of more than 100 people killed in a pogrom that occurred in 1918.
