Парк «Центральний», Public park in Irpin, Ukraine
Central Park is a 6-hectare recreational area located at the intersection of University and Chekhov streets. The grounds feature pine trees, ornamental plants, and paved pathways, along with children's playgrounds, sports zones, and outdoor cooking areas equipped with decorative metal barbecues.
The park developed from an existing pine forest and officially opened on June 15, 2016. This transformation created a structured recreational space within the city while incorporating elements of the natural woodland that previously covered the site.
The grounds contain the Temple of the Holy Martyr Vladimir, Metropolitan of Kyiv and Galicia, which reflects the spiritual traditions of the region. This place of worship sits within the recreational space, showing how faith and community gathering coexist in the park.
The park is easy to navigate and offers bicycle and scooter rentals for visitors exploring the grounds. Playgrounds feature soft surfaces for safety, and designated grilling areas are available for groups gathering to cook outdoors.
An artificial lake with a fountain sits at the heart of the park as a focal point. What makes this place notable is how sections of the original pine forest remain integrated throughout, creating a mix of preserved woodland and contemporary landscaping.
