Holovanivsk Raion

Holovanivsk Raion is an administrative district in Kirovohrad Oblast in central Ukraine. The area is characterized by agricultural land, forests, and numerous villages connected by regional roads and local infrastructure.

The district underwent a major reorganization in 2020 when it merged with four neighboring raions into a single administrative unit. This change significantly enlarged the territory and reshaped local governance.

Villages throughout the district keep Ukrainian traditions alive through local celebrations and festivals held throughout the year. These gatherings show how communities express their identity and connection to the land.

The district is accessible by regional roads and can be explored by car or public transportation options. The warmer months offer the best conditions for visiting, when roads and villages are most accessible.

The district is divided into ten self-governing local units known as hromadas, each functioning as an independent community within the larger structure. This arrangement allows each community to manage its own affairs while remaining part of a unified system.
