Younger Memnon, Historic statue in Egypt.
The Younger Memnon is one of two colossal granite heads from the Ancient Egyptian Ramesseum mortuary temple in Thebes.
Thought to depict Ramesses II, it was created around 1270 BC.
The statues stand as a testament to the grandeur and majesty of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Memnon is located at the British Museum in London where you freely can see it.
It got its colloquial name due to an association with 'Memnon', the Ethiopian king in Greek mythology.
