St Marylebone Parish Church, Marylebone, Anglican church on Marylebone Road, London, England
St Marylebone Parish Church is a neoclassical Anglican building standing on Marylebone Road in Westminster. The facade features a Corinthian portico modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, topped by a steeple that reaches about 75 feet (23 meters) in height.
Architect Thomas Hardwick designed the current building as the third structure for the parish, replacing earlier churches that had served since the 13th century. Construction was completed and the building consecrated in 1817.
The interior displays Pre-Raphaelite stained glass and paintings that visitors can examine closely during weekday hours. The congregation uses the space for choral concerts and organ recitals alongside traditional Anglican worship.
The entrance is located at 17 Marylebone Road, a short walk from Regent's Park. The building opens daily for visitors and can accommodate up to 750 people in the main hall.
The current windows contain fragments of original stained glass from before World War II, salvaged after bomb damage destroyed the old panes. These pieces were incorporated into new windows during post-war restoration.
