Cotter Force, Natural waterfall in High Abbotside, England

The waterfall descends 33 feet through six distinct steps, starting at 13 feet wide and expanding to 43 feet at its base point.

J.M.W. Turner captured the waterfall in his Yorkshire Sketchbook during July 1816, marking its place in British artistic documentation.

The waterfall forms part of the Yorkshire Dales landscape, where local communities maintain traditional farming practices near flowing waters.

The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust has modified the footpath to accommodate wheelchair users, with access from the A684 near Holme Heads Bridge.

Richard Samuel Chattock created two detailed etchings of the falls in 1864, now preserved at The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.
