Royal Pavilion & Garden, Indo-Saracenic palace in Brighton, England
The Royal Pavilion displays white domes and minarets against the seaside landscape, featuring detailed oriental decorations across its grand exterior structure.
John Nash transformed the building into its current form starting in 1815, creating a residence for George, Prince of Wales, who later became King George IV.
The palace houses permanent exhibits of Regency-era furniture, including over 100 pieces on permanent loan from Queen Elizabeth II since the 1950s.
The building opens daily with guided tours available, offering access to the state rooms, banqueting hall, and music room through advance bookings.
During World War I, the palace functioned as a hospital for Indian soldiers, with separate kitchens established to accommodate different dietary requirements.
