The 2i's Coffee Bar, Music venue on Old Compton Street, London, England

The 2i's Coffee Bar contained an 18-inch high stage in its basement where bands performed for customers gathered in the small space.

Opening its doors in 1956, the establishment operated until 1970 under the management of professional wrestlers Paul Lincoln and Ray Hunter.

The venue gave early performance opportunities to numerous British musicians, including Tommy Steele, Cliff Richard, and members of The Shadows.

Located at number 59, the building now displays a green commemorative plaque marking its position on Old Compton Street in Soho.

Both Lionel Bart and Mickie Most worked as waiters at the coffee bar before becoming successful figures in the British music industry.
