Dean Court, Football stadium in Kings Park, Boscombe, England.
Dean Court is a football stadium with a rectangular pitch and four covered stands in the eastern part of Bournemouth. The facility offers seating for 11,307 people and sits in the Boscombe area near Kings Park.
The Cooper-Dean family gave the land in 1910, leading to the first stand with 300 seats for Boscombe Football Club. In 2001 the entire structure was rotated by 90 degrees, which required the removal of neighboring houses.
This venue serves as home to AFC Bournemouth during the football season, bringing thousands of local fans together on match days. The atmosphere during games shapes life in the eastern part of town and draws people from across the region.
Bus routes P2 and P3 run from Bournemouth Railway Station to the ground, or you can walk for 15 minutes from Pokesdown station. On match days it helps to arrive earlier, as the area becomes busier and parking fills up quickly.
During reconstruction in 2001 the entire ground was rotated 90 degrees, a rare engineering choice in English football. This rotation changed the orientation of the pitch completely and made room for larger stands along the long sides.
