Brodie Castle, Renaissance tower house in Moray, Scotland.

The castle features a central keep with two five-story towers on opposing corners, forming a Z-shaped layout with vaulted chambers in the basement.

The Brodie family received the land from King Malcolm IV in 1160, and the current structure was completed in 1567 before suffering fire damage in 1645.

The interior preserves collections of antique furniture, Oriental objects, and decorated ceilings spanning from the 17th through 19th centuries.

The National Trust for Scotland maintains the castle, which opens Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00 and Sunday from 10:30 to 16:00.

The castle grounds contain Rodney's Stone, a Pictish monument, and maintain a national collection of daffodils.
