Johnston

Johnston is a residential town in Providence County, Rhode Island that spreads across several neighborhoods with home areas, commercial zones, and public parks. The terrain sits at roughly 100 feet (30 meters) above sea level.

Founded in 1636 and incorporated in 1759, the town received its name from colonial attorney Augustus Johnston during the early settlement period. This early establishment shaped the region's growth over the following centuries.
