Fajardo, Municipality on the eastern coast of Puerto Rico, United States
Located at the eastern tip of Puerto Rico, Fajardo extends across 21 square kilometers of coastal territory with numerous offshore islets and beaches.
Santiago de Mexía established Fajardo in 1772, and the municipality later served as a landing point for American forces during the 1898 invasion of Puerto Rico.
