Greensboro Coliseum Complex, Entertainment complex in Greensboro, United States.
Greensboro Coliseum Complex is an entertainment venue in Greensboro, North Carolina, and spans eight separate facilities across a site of over 30 hectares (75 acres). The site connects a multipurpose arena with an amphitheater, a convention center, and an aquatic center, all linked by wide pedestrian walkways.
The complex opened in late October 1959 with an ice show and soon became home to the Greensboro Generals hockey team. Over the decades, operators expanded the site with additional halls and outdoor spaces to accommodate different event formats.
The aquatic center hosts regional swim meets and draws athletes from across the area for competitions. Visitors can often watch events where local schools and clubs compete in the large competition pool.
The main hall can seat between 4,500 and 22,000 spectators depending on the seating arrangement, and the parking lots offer spaces for over 6,000 vehicles on West Gate City Boulevard. The main entrance is centrally located and can be reached on foot in a few minutes from several surrounding hotels.
The Novant Health Fieldhouse serves as the training facility and home court for the Greensboro Swarm, an NBA G League team affiliated with the Charlotte Hornets. Fans can experience professional-level games here in a more intimate setting than an NBA arena.
