Worthington

Worthington is the county seat of Nobles County in southwestern Minnesota, stretching along Interstate 90 and Minnesota State Highway 60. The city centers around Lake Okabena, with nineteen public parks distributed throughout the community.

The settlement started in the 1870s as Okabena Station on the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway, founded by New England colonists. This railroad connection enabled the early community to grow and shaped its economic direction.
