Morris Plains is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, situated on rolling terrain with residential neighborhoods and local commercial areas. The community comprises several sections connected by open spaces and tree-lined streets that define its suburban character.
Morris Plains emerged in the 1800s as a rural settlement and was incorporated as an independent borough in 1924. The area later developed into a suburban community while retaining much of its original green character and residential focus.
