Mosinee

Mosinee is a city in Marathon County along the Wisconsin River, situated between Wausau and Stevens Point. The community covers several miles and is home to roughly 4,000 people who live and work within this administrative division.

The first settlement began in 1790 when French fur trappers arrived and established the initial community. Later, John Baptiste DuBay created a trading post here in 1834, which helped shape the river settlement's early growth.
