The Boss, Wooden roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis, United States.
The Boss is a wooden roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis featuring over a mile of track with steep drops and sharp turns. The layout includes five underground tunnels and follows the natural hillside terrain.
Custom Coasters International designed and built this coaster in 2000 as an addition to the theme park's attractions. The construction combined proven wooden coaster engineering with contemporary safety standards.
The design carries forward traditional elements of early 20th century wooden roller coasters while incorporating modern engineering techniques for enhanced performance.
Riders must be at least 54 inches (137 cm) tall to experience this coaster. Wearing comfortable shoes and securing loose belongings is recommended for the ride.
The coaster opens with a 122-foot initial descent angled at 52 degrees, creating one of the steepest first drops of its kind. This extreme opening sets up a chain of drops that flow across the park's hilly terrain.
