Yanceyville

Yanceyville is the county seat in Caswell County, North Carolina, situated in the Piedmont region. The town includes several business districts centered downtown, along Highway 86, and on West Main Street.

The town was established in 1791 as Caswell Court House and renamed in 1833 to honor U.S. Congressman Bartlett Yancey Jr. This name change marked a turning point in the community's identity.

The Richmond-Miles History Museum and the Yanceyville Museum of Art display collections about the region's past and works by local artists. Visitors can explore how the town developed over generations through these exhibits.
