Kernersville

Kernersville is located between Winston-Salem and Greensboro and serves as the largest suburb of Winston-Salem. The town spreads across residential neighborhoods, commercial areas, and various community facilities.

The settlement started in 1756 when Irish pioneer Caleb Story established a crossroads community initially called Dobson's Crossroads. The town later took its name from Joseph Kerner, who became a key property owner in the area.
