Millennium Centre

Millennium Centre is a residential tower on Near North Side with 59 floors rising 186 meters above the city. The structure contains 350 apartments and features a rooftop garden on the 14th floor, blending living spaces with outdoor amenities.

Construction began in 2001 and was completed in 2002, marking a period of residential growth in downtown Chicago. The project became a trendsetter for modern residential towers in the city during the early 2000s.

Solomon Cordwell Buenz architectural firm designed this structure, which represents the evolution of modern residential architecture in urban environments.

The building sits along West Ontario Street near the Chicago River, making it accessible by public transit. The area is walkable and offers multiple entry points to explore downtown attractions and neighboring districts.

The project sold 95 percent of its residential units within two days of announcement, before receiving city approval. This extraordinary demand reflected strong interest in residential developments in this part of the city at that time.
