Truman Balcony, Balcony in the White House

The Truman Balcony is a small balcony located on the second-floor of the White House, directly above the Blue Room.

It was added to the White House by President Harry S. Truman in 1947-48.

The balcony provides a sweeping view of the Washington Monument and the National Mall, often used for White House ceremonies.

Despite initial criticism, it has been used by every president since Truman for rest and relaxation.

It's the only balcony on the White House's south face.

Location: Washington, D.C.
