South Coventry Historic District, Historic district in Coventry, Connecticut, US

This National Register district spans 250 acres with over 200 buildings, including residential structures, commercial establishments, and civic properties along Main Street.

The settlement began in 1707, with a village green established by 1730 that served as training grounds during the French and Indian War.

The district maintains Victorian houses, the public library, and the W.L Wellwood General Store from 1787, representing early American architectural development.

The district extends along Connecticut Route 31 between Stonehouse and Armstrong Roads, with Mill Brook running parallel to the south.

Patriots Park, formerly a Salvation Army summer camp, now functions as a lakefront recreational area near the Captain Nathan Hale Monument.
