The Museum of Discovery spans 25,000 square feet and contains 90 interactive exhibits focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
Bernie Babcock established the institution in 1927 as the Arkansas Museum of Natural History and Antiquities, initially operating from a downtown storefront on Main Street.
The museum provides educational programs for students and adults through hands-on presentations, demonstrations, and specialized workshops throughout Arkansas.
Located at 500 President Clinton Avenue, the center welcomes visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM.
The facility houses a Guinness World Record musical bi-polar Tesla coil that generates 200,000 volts of electricity while performing musical demonstrations.
