Chichester Friends Meetinghouse, Quaker meetinghouse in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, US.

Chichester Friends Meetinghouse is a rectangular stone structure with separate entrances on the men's and women's sides. The building maintains its original form and retains historical features from its time of construction.

This structure was built in 1769 after a fire destroyed the original 1688 building. During the Battle of Brandywine in 1777, British troops fired on the building, leaving bullet holes that remain visible today.

The design shows early English Quaker architecture, with a central partition that separated men and women during worship services. This layout was typical of Quaker gathering spaces in that era.

The building lacks modern heating, electricity, or plumbing, so visits are most comfortable during milder weather. Access is from Meetinghouse Road and you may need to check local information about when it is open to visitors.

The land was sold in 1688 by James Brown with a special condition that it could only be used for Quaker worship. This legal requirement has ensured the site's continuous use for religious purposes across more than 300 years.
