The Colby College Museum of Art spans over 38,000 square feet of exhibition space across five wings, displaying nearly 8,000 artworks from different periods and styles.
Founded in 1959, the museum began with donations from Adeline and Caroline Wing, including works by William Merritt Chase, Winslow Homer, and Andrew Wyeth.
The museum maintains the Skowhegan Lecture Archive, containing recorded presentations from major post-war American artists for educational and research purposes.
The museum provides free admission to visitors throughout the year and features dedicated spaces for exhibitions, classrooms, and collection storage in the Alfond-Lunder Family Pavilion.
The Terry Winters Collection contains every print created by the artist, making it the only complete repository of his printed works in existence.
