David Whitney House, Romanesque Revival mansion in Midtown Detroit, United States

The David Whitney House spans 21,000 square feet and features 52 rooms, including 10 bathrooms, constructed with pink jasper stone from South Dakota.

Built between 1890 and 1894 by lumber baron David Whitney Jr., the mansion required an investment of $400,000, equivalent to over $12 million in current value.

The residence displays 218 windows, with numerous Tiffany glass installations depicting specific themes for each room, such as musical motifs in the music room.

Located at 4421 Woodward Avenue, the former private residence now functions as an upscale restaurant, maintaining its architectural elements since 1986.
