The Mediterranean-style mansion features 32 rooms across its 75-acre estate, displaying numerous paintings, tapestries, and antique furnishings throughout the interior.
John Cuneo Sr., owner of the Chicago-based Cuneo Press, acquired the property in 1937 from Samuel Insull, transforming it into a model dairy farm with advanced technology.
The mansion contains an extensive collection of Renaissance paintings, silver pieces, and porcelain items that reflect the international travels of the Cuneo family.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., with Sunday hours from noon to 6 p.m., charging adults $7 for interior access.
The property served as a filming location for Hollywood productions, including scenes from the 1997 film My Best Friend's Wedding and Witless Protection in 2008.
