Eastman Mountain

Eastman Mountain is a summit in White Mountain National Forest reaching about 2,900 feet. Several trails wind through mixed forest, offering hikers different route options to reach the top.

The area saw timber operations during the 1700s and 1800s when settlers harvested wood from these forests. Forest regrowth has reshaped the landscape over the following generations.

Local hiking groups maintain regular guided excursions to Eastman Mountain, teaching participants about native plants and wildlife identification throughout the seasons.

Bring plenty of water and sturdy hiking boots, as some sections have steep grades and wet footing. Starting early gives you plenty of daylight to navigate and return safely before dark.

Below the mountain lies Emerald Pool, a small natural pond nested in a narrow gorge with striking turquoise water. This hidden spot rewards hikers who venture off the main trail.
