Mount Hight rises to 4,675 feet elevation within the Carter-Moriah Range, offering views of the Presidential Range and Wild River Wilderness.

The mountain became part of the Appalachian Trail system, connecting multiple sections of the extensive hiking network through New Hampshire's White Mountains.

Local hiking communities consider Mount Hight a secondary peak to Carter Dome, yet many regard its viewpoint superior to its taller neighbor.

The Nineteen Mile Brook Trail provides the primary access route, leading hikers through 8.8 miles of terrain with 3,200 feet of elevation gain.
